3 EASY STEPS before you begin:

The Big Dam Bridge 100 8-week training plans will utilize TrainingPeaks software. If you are new to TrainingPeaks, rest assured it is user friendly and is the leading software for logging your data, tracking your mileage, and interfacing with graphs that help you chart your growth as you get fit.

When you are ready to purchase the Big Dam Bridge 100 8-week training program provided by Leborne Coaching, please follow these 3 steps:

1) open a FREE TrainingPeaks account*  Follow this link to create your own personalized account:  https://home.trainingpeaks.com/signup

*Be sure to use the same email for TrainingPeaks that you will use when you checkout in PayPal

2) once you have your own TrainingPeaks account, click the PayPal button below to purchase the 8-week program of your choice

3) Leborne Coaching will receive notification of your payment and within the next 24 hours will link your TrainingPeaks account to their coaching edition.  From there, they will release the 8-week plan into your account to follow along daily. 

BDB 100 MILE TRAINING PLAN

 

Centuries (or 100 mile bike rides) offer a great endurance challenge for any cyclist!

The Big Dam Bridge 100 event provides an organized century ride with 4000+ feet of elevation gain.  Whether you plan to ride it leisurely on your own timeline or are trying to break a certain goal time with your local club team, this 8-week training program is designed to help you complete the challenge. 

Leborne Coaching has tailored this program to the cyclist who can typically complete 2-3 shorter duration rides during the weekdays, then a good long ride on the weekends. And there will be options to add more time if you can! By following the program, you'll build:

1) endurance to withstand a long day on the bike

2) confidence on climbs

3) knowledge on proper nutritional strategies for a successful endurance event

The workouts prescribed use heart rate zones and cadence, and instructions will be provided on how to set these for yourself after completing a max heart rate test during week one.  Neither a heart rate strap nor cadence is required, but they are highly recommended to get the most out of the program.  If you do not have these devices, you can use RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion). 

In addition to the bike work, Leborne will include short core sessions each week to develop flexibility and strength.  If you currently practice this on your own, you can continue to use your own program. 

The 8-week program will include notifications for the Big Dam Bridge 100 training rides provided by The Meteor Bike Shop.  If you're local to central-Arkansas, these will be great training opportunities for building endurance and group handling skills.

BDB 68 MILE TRAINING PLAN

The Big Dam Bridge 100 event provides an amazing route for those wanting a good mid-distance challenge.  This 8-week training program is designed to help you come fully prepared to tackle the 68mile BDB100 course.

Leborne Coaching has tailored this program to the cyclist who can typically complete 2-3 shorter duration rides during the weekdays, then a good long ride on the weekends. And there will be options to add more time if you can! By following the program, you'll build:

1) endurance to handle up to 70 mile rides

2) confidence on climbs

3) knowledge on proper nutritional strategies for a successful endurance event

The workouts prescribed use heart rate zones and cadence, and instructions will be provided on how to set these for yourself after completing a max heart rate test during week one.  Neither a heart rate strap nor cadence is required, but they are highly recommended to get the most out of the program.  If you do not have these devices, you can use RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion).

BDB 50 MILE TRAINING PLAN

The Big Dam Bridge 100 event provides a beautiful 50mile course for those wanting a great mid-distance ride with gently rolling terrain.  

Leborne Coaching has tailored this 8-week program to the cyclist who can typically complete 2 shorter duration rides during the weekdays, then a good long ride on the weekends. And there will be options to add more time if you can! By following the program, you'll build endurance to handle up to 50 miles.

The workouts prescribed use heart rate zones and cadence, and instructions will be provided on how to set these for yourself after completing a max heart rate test during week one.  Neither a heart rate strap nor cadence is required, but they are highly recommended to get the most out of the program.  If you do not have these devices, you can use RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion).
